Peace with God

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God. Romans 5:1 For a man to be at war with God is the most dangerous thing that can ever happen. For a subject to be in a state of sedition against a powerful king is treason and to incur the forfeiture of his life. For a creature to pick arms against the creator is an appalling thing indeed. But that is what happens when man is in charge of his own life. You see life is such that either Jesus is in control or we are. Until the day we accept Jesus as the Lord of our lives, we are actually at loggerheads with Him. The requirement from God to man is for us to obey His word perfectly. No man has ever or will ever obey the ten commandments perfectly. The man who says he has submitted himself fully to its requirement is only referring to a diluted version of what God actually expects from us. For instance the command 'thou shall not commit adultery' goes deeper than the actual intimacy between a man and a woman. A curso

Let Us cross over

One day Jesus told His disciples they should cross over to the other side (Luke 8:22). The disciples had been so used to the old ways that they did not want any new thing. They wanted to stay where they were because this was their comfort zone and they were satisfied with the mighty things they had seen Jesus do. Most often we also have so many comfort zones. The Lord will be leading us to minister to somebody or even move to a different location for a special assignment  but the fear of the unknown will keep us at one place and cause us to lose great opportunities to be a blessing to others. When they set out, there was a fierce storm which threaten to destroy their lives. Following Christ will not always be convenient. There will be threats on our jobs, families and even our lives. The disciples felt threatened to the extent that they forgot they had the creator of the universe with them. He who called the dead back to life could easily calm the angry seas but obviously they had fo

God so loved

The Bible says God loved the world and gave His only begotten son as a gift. Love is always active. Whenever we love, we spontaneously demonstrate it by giving. God gave His all when He gave us Jesus. We need to also show Him our love by the kind of lifestyle we lead. Jesus said we should show our love by our doing. It is not what we say but we do that we will have an impact on the lives of people.

In the beginning

The Bible says "in the beginning God created heaven and earth. "Many people have tried in vain to understand God. They have done so many researches to prove His existence. Moses, who is the writer of the book of Genesis was so sure there is a God that he did not waste time to explain  who God is and where He comes from but went right away to inform us about what He created. There are so many things that we cannot prove by observation and experimentation. Even though we cannot see Him with our eyes or use any of our senses to prove His existence there is a bigger evidence that goes beyond these senses. The reason Moses did not go into who God is that in every human being there is a silent witness that speaks to our hearts that there is God and makes us conscious also that there is eternity. A lot of people will fight the inner witness and try to say that man came from 'somewhere' but the inner witness will always ensure that it informs us who created us.   Heaven
